I agree 100%. Testing is extremely easy online, but for some reason, many people get intimidated by it.

I agree that having a testing system and giving time is essential to see what works and what doesnt. The beauty about the internet as opposed to a brick and mortar business is that when something doesnt work you can always change it and I dont think enough people realize (or they are too stubborn) to change when needed.

You are so on the money with a lot of these tips. Most people think making money on the web happens automatically fail to target the right niche audience and dont take those needed baby steps.

There is a saying that goes "there is nothing new under the sun" But it is always nice to be reminded of wise words and it is always nice to make a quick buck! Nice work.

Thanks for the comment Julie.

I also agree with everything you said. These characteristics do not necessarily have to apply to business only.

Nice summary Adam. #1 is so important for business owners to understand. Their product/service has to have value to those they are marketing to and the best way to determine how they can provide this value is by putting themselves in their potential customer's shoes. This advice is not only good in the marketing realm, it is also a valuable characteristic for our personal lives - especially with regards to interpersonal relationships. If more people could actually do this, the world would be a much nicer place to live in right? Your #4 points to the importance of customer service and the impression we leave on our customers about how much we care about their buying experience. #6 is again about customer service and client retention. All really good advice - thanks for posting :)

Thanks for the amazing comment Alexander.

Bonuses are great, but I really do tend to avoid them for the reasons you mentioned above. I'd rather provide a product that over delivers by itself for a very affordable price than offer a million dollars worth of old PLR crap.

As for your point on #3. I truly believe that you cannot own an "online business" till you sell your own products. Having your own products puts you in complete control of your future via testing and leverage.

I agree with all 8 points as well. The only issue with over-delivery - as it already has been mentioned here - usually it means BONUSES and almost all of these "bonuses" are outdated, mostly of low quality PLR stuff. I just make me sick and tied, when for $47-67 product they offer "bonuses" for $1,277 - as they "estimate" them. You have to spend 1-2 hour to download and look through all these 10-15 "bonuses" to understand that it is a junk or good but very old outdated from 2-3 years ago product that doesn't work anymore because everything it teaches doesn't work now.
I am seriously considering to find another ways to over deliver.
I think it is a good point to discuss, isn't it?
My ideas, if you sell your own products:
1. Provide only high quality content about product - ideally, about your own experience with the product, like a review.
2. Offer high quality life time customer support before they buy.
3. Offer free lifetime updates/upgrades

Any ideas?

Also, you cannot apply #3 to affiliate products - too many from too many niches.
So, for example, you cannot try by yourself/on yourself all health products - pills and creams, it just unrealistic (especially if you are not a woman). :)

Hey Mark,

It is quite unfortunately a lot of the material online is rehashed PLR. But it happens in almost every marketing... You're always going to have people trying to make a quick buck.

I agree, there are plenty more than 8. Maybe one day I'll make a complete course!
